Variety and integration - this is the quality and challenge of research and teaching in architectural and urban design.

The three junior professorships of the faculty reflect this variety of themes and tasks of architecture and urban planning. The topics of “rezykliergerechten Bauen,” cultural heritage, and “Werkzeugkulturen” are examples of this. Furthermore, we represent a wide range of scientific traditions and experiences, which connect with research and practice as an architect and urban planner. Against this backdrop we want to pursue and extend the existing paths of integrative research and teaching during our time at the Faculty of Architecture. We want to enthuse the students about the diversity of their department through the supply of collaborative courses and illustrate the surplus of integrative thinking and acting. We want to continue the existing collaborative courses in the field of research and look forward to close collaboration within our faculty.
